What is the prosecutor's office?
Every citizen of the Russian Federation shouldto understand what the prosecutor's office is and what employees of the prosecutor's supervision are doing. In fact, the prosecutor's office is a special independent state body that oversees the implementation of laws, observance of human rights and prosecutes violators of legislative norms.
The activities and powers of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation are statedin the Federal Law "On the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation". The supreme body in the system of prosecutor's supervision is the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, approved by the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on the recommendation of the President of the Russian Federation.
Their powers of prosecutorial supervisionindependently of other authorities. Thus, we can say that the prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation does not submit to any of the branches of power: neither legislative, nor executive, nor judicial. Although in fact the issue of the place that the prosecutor's office occupies in the system of state bodies of the Russian Federation remains controversial.
According to official legislative acts,the prosecutor has the right to pass unhindered to any territory of the supervised bodies, to request the necessary documents and materials, to summon citizens of the Russian Federation for explanations, and it does not matter whether this official is an official or an ordinary citizen. In addition, the prosecutor has the right to take part in the consideration of cases by courts and enter into proceedings at any stage.
