School holidays 2018 - 2019 school year
For school holidays - long-awaited vacation time. Finally, you do not have to get up at 7 am, go to school and do your homework. Already on September 1, many students are counting the remaining days before the holidays in the hope of having them fun and interesting. Therefore, all students look forward to holidays. They will not refuse to make a break in the educational process of the teacher and parents of students. But in order to properly plan a vacation, you need to know the schedule of school holidays in the 2018-2019 school year.
Why do we need school holidays?
Schooling is intense intellectual work during the seven to eight hours that the student is in an educational institution. For some of the guys close communication with classmates and teachers is a huge psychological burden. The reason for this is as follows: parents sometimes prepare their children for school and do not send them to kindergarten. Such children have a number of difficulties:
- hard to converge with classmates;
- can not build relationships with teachers;
- they are strained by a long stay in an unfamiliar place.
Therefore, the learning process for such guys is a lot of stress, which holidays are designed to help solve a number of important issues:
- Rest the body of the child from psychological stress.
- Restoration of the day with a full sleep.
- Organization of the correct fractional diet.
Over-saturation with information and communication requires the ability for the child to be alone, read, watch your favorite movies or TV shows - switch only to yourself and your interests.
Quarters or trimesters?
The school administration can vary the start and end dates of the holidays at its discretion, based on the curriculum. Separate schools, for example, in Moscow, do not study in quarters, but in a modern modular system that provides for trimester education. For them, the Department of Education provides additional guidance on vacation schedules.
Thus, the school itself decides how to study - in quarters or trimesters - and, accordingly, set holidays for students.
If the school is on the trimester form of study, the school year is divided into three trimesters, each of which lasts from 10 to 12 weeks.
If the schedule of schooling involves studying in quarters, then this involves four quarters, different in their duration:
- 1 quarter - 8 weeks.
- 2 quarter - 8 weeks.
- 3 quarter - 10 weeks (for first grade); 11 weeks (for grades 2-11).
- 4th quarter - 8 weeks (for grades 1–4, 9 and 11); 9 weeks (for grades 5–8, 10).
Thus, within these time limits, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation recommends school holidays in the 2018–2019 school year, and many directors of Russian secondary schools will adhere to it.
Holidays in the 2018-2019 year on the trimester system
In the trimester education system there are only six study periods (each of the trimesters is divided into two parts) and six rest periods - holidays. The duration of each trimester is five to six weeks, the duration of holidays is a week. The exception is the eleven-day New Year and three-month summer holidays.
Approximate dates of holidays in the modular (trimester) training system:
- October 8–14.
- November 19-25.
- December 29, 2018 – January 8, 2019
- February 18-24.
- April 8–14.
- June 1 – August 31
The completion of the school year is May 31, 2019 for grades 1–8, 10, and for students in grades 9 and 11, the school year ends in accordance with the schedule of GIA exams and the school’s curriculum.
Learning by quarters. When is the holiday in 2018-2019?
Every day of the holidays is amazing and unique. The whole question is that it is interesting, entertaining, with fiction to organize the leisure of children, to captivate them with useful practical exercises.
School holiday table (by quarter)
For first grades, additional days are provided during the longest third quarter from approximately 11/02/2019 through 17.02.2019.
But the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky called for extending the summer and postponing the beginning of the school year to October 1:
Changes to recommended vacation dates
Our country is so huge that it is impossible to create a single calendar of school holidays. In each area there are certain situations that affect the duration of school days. These include:
- very coldy;
- other weather conditions (floods, squally wind, etc.).
If such force majeure periods take 2–3 days, then many schoolchildren and teachers can “catch up” with the program.But if such “passes” accumulate from a week or more, then the school administration has the right to independently change the vacation calendar or transfer some days off to the category of study days.
