PES 2019: news, release date, system requirements

About the imminent release of the next part of its world-famous football simulator, Konami announced back in May, promising to reveal all the details to the fans of the series later. Let's try to figure out what is known about PES 2019 today and when the game will appear on store shelves.

Bad news

The announcement of the new part was organized in a big way - the developers took advantage of the agreement with Barcelona and made a presentation right during the match with Real. Two days later, the public was shown the first PES 2019 trailer, the main stars of which were Philippe Coutinho and David Beckham; last we will see on the cover.

However, the contract with Barsoy this year threatens to remain the only major trump card of Konami: the ten-year agreement with UEFA has expired this year, and most likely they will not be renewed - probably tasty licenses will go to competitors in the person of EA Sports. And this means that in the PES 2019 we will not see the Champions League and the Europa League, as the list of English licenses is hardly growing.

And in early June it became known that the German Borussia would not appear in the game, despite the agreement for a period up to 2020. For unknown reasons, the club terminated the contract ahead of time, so that neither the players nor the stadium will end up in the simulator. But players will have the opportunity to play for real Russian football players - the developers have agreed with the Russian Football Premier League on exclusive rights to the Russian Championship.

In addition to the Russians, fully licensed football leagues from Belgium, Switzerland, Scotland, Portugal, Denmark and Argentina will get into the simulator - it’s up to each player to decide how much this fact compensates for lost licenses. The Japanese themselves seem to be aware of the losing position of their offspring in relation to the FIFA series, as evidenced by an early, almost hasty announcement, and an attempt to overtake the competitors with at least a release - the release date of PES 2019 is set for August 28th.

Dry residue

Konami clearly hopes to disguise the lack of quality licensed content with various gameplay chips, many of which are really impressive. Second trailerfeatured by the developers at the recent E3 show, demonstrated even smoother and more realistic animation of player movements, which the series has always been famous for.

The physics of the ball has also been improved, but the main part of the game beauties will probably fall on the light effects: a new graphics engine under the pathetic name Enlighten should provide unprecedented high-quality global illumination in real time. Simply put, during the match the sun will move, and the shadows will change.

However,system requirementsPES 2019 is unlikely to be too overpriced. Most likely, enough of this set:

  • Windows 7/8/10;
  • Intel Core i5-3450 processor 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-4100 3.6 GHz;
  • 8 GB of RAM;
  • Video card 2 GB GeForce GTX 650 or Radeon HD 7750;
  • DirectX 11;
  • 30 GB hard drive.

Among other major innovations:

  • for the first time since the fifth part of the PES, snow will return to the simulator;
  • improved lawn - now it looks better and changes depending on the time of day;
  • as many as 11 new skills added, such as a blind pass or upward kicks;
  • there were quick replacements when the ball left the game;
  • redesigned player endurance control system;
  • The myClub mode has been completely redesigned.

In general, the developers are clearly not going to give up without a fight, even if they avoid direct competition, relying on loyal fans of the series.The sales figures will show whether their tactics will become a winning one or once again lead to failure, in which case another big Konami brand - along with Silent Hill and Metal Gear - can expect a very, very vague future.
