Changes in the exam-2019 in chemistry
Chemistry was included in the list of items that in 2018 underwent, albeit small, but still changes. Therefore, everyone who is preparing to take it, of course, it will be interesting to know how the exam in chemistry will be taken.
Compared with 2017, in 2018 the number of those who signed up for it increased by 4% and now has reached 17%. And it is undeniable that I am glad that every year in our country the popularity of the professions of chemical and technological industries, industrial energy, construction, oil and gas, forestry, landscape design, as well as natural resources and others, is increasing.
At the same time, perhaps no one will call this discipline easy, therefore, it will be necessary to prepare for the receipt of it, as the profile of choice, in the most serious way. And at the same time, of course, it will be very useful to know in advance what to expect from this exam next year, so that future applicants have every opportunity to prepare for it as well as possible.
Changes in the exam in chemistry in 2019 and the basic rules
Perhaps the most serious change in terms of chemistry was the addition of one new task (it is placed at number 30 and is characterized by increased complexity), therefore, their total number is now 35. But, due to the fact that the criteria for evaluating the others have changed, the total number of possible points for all the work has not changed - there are only 60 of them.
It is divided into two sections: in the first 29 tasks for a short answer, and in the second - only 6, but already under the expanded one. For the first part as much as possible you can score 40 points, and for the second, respectively, - 20.
As you know, all the exam are held annually from the end of May and somewhere up to the twentieth of June. In 2018, the main session session began on May 29 and lasted until June 19, and the chemistry fell on June 19. Very often, it is not carried out on a separate day, but combined with another item, therefore, if you suddenly set your sights on both, it is advised to use the proposed reserve days or go to the early spring.
Chemistry is given only three and a half hours, and it is written at the same time when all the other exams are at exactly ten in the morning. But, for registration, checking for unauthorized things to carry and seating in places should come an hour earlier - at nine.
You can take a ruler and a non-programmable calculator.You shouldn't try to bring your own plates - even if there is an extremely valuable cheat sheet encrypted! They give everything on the ground, just to avoid it. Well, and, naturally, it is necessary to take the documents, a black pen, as well as medicines and food, if necessary.
What to expect from chemical CIMs?
Exactly 21 tasks (of course, from the first part) relate to the basic level of complexity (1-7, 10-15, 18-21 and 26-29), 8 questions are designed for increased (ibid), and the remaining six are high-level tasks. level, also for a detailed response (from 30 to 35th). As a rule, they revolve around such topics:
- Types of chemical bonds;
- Periodic properties of elements, the structure of the atom;
- Chemical equilibrium;
- Classification of chemical reactions and interaction of substances;
- Organic (properties, classes, methods of production).
Tasks, as a rule, are classic calculations from the “Solutions” section. There will be four tasks in the first part on the theoretical foundations of chemistry (Periodic system, law, chemical communication and the structure of substances), 8 - on the preparation of chemical reactions (including 2 - with a detailed response), 7 will be taken by inorganic (one - from the second part),9 - on organics (also one with expanded), 2 are devoted to experimental fundamentals and industrial methods for producing substances, and five are calculations by reaction equations and formulas. By the way, the last two will fall on a high level of complexity.

With regard to the new task, in fact, this old was broken into two, but both expanded substantially and complicated. So, if earlier for the 30th question, it was necessary to simply add the missing substance from the list of suggested ones in the chain, as well as to make a number of analytical actions in the form of writing some characteristics, electronic balance, for example, now we need to create the reaction equation independently from the list of reagents .
Moreover, in the 30th assignment, this reaction must belong to a certain type (for example, redox), and then it is necessary to correctly indicate these components and to bring its electronic balance.The 31st task uses the same list of substances, but the question about them is formulated differently.
Since these tasks are interrelated, now they are given two points each (earlier, for one, the 30s were given three). Accordingly, one point was removed from the last task - now you can get a maximum of three for it.
Recommendations for effective training
In order to successfully pass the exam in chemistry in 2019, of course, preparation for it must begin as soon as possible.
It is recommended to immediately solve several test examples of options from past years, in order to assess the initial level of your knowledge, and also to track specifically which topics require maximum attention, and which can be simply repeated right before the exam, and not bother.
Everything else should be split in time, depending on the density of the section and the degree of orientation in it, and then proceed to the formation of short abstracts of cheat sheets (of course, not to write off the exam - it's just easier and more convenient to prepare, believe me, because it turns on work and motor memory). On them everything is worth cramming and in parallel on already covered topics do not forget to train on ready-made versions of the Unified State Exam in chemistry. At the end it is recommended to take a few days to run for a while.
This is with regard to methodology. As for the rest, in chemistry, with the proper level of talent for this subject, it is not even necessary to use the services of tutors or courses - the network is full of excellent textbooks with examples of tasks, didactic materials, and excellent visual schemes. But, of course, given the density of loading and in other subjects, it is possible that any outside help, if possible, will not be superfluous.
Specifically according to knowledge, special attention should be paid to the periodic properties of the elements and it is necessary to learn by heart the periodic law.
It is very useful to make a table of chemical reactions and memorize it in order to work with interactions of substances without problems.
It is also important to remember well from the course of mathematics, what proportions and percentages are - chemical tasks cannot do without them in any way. And, you see, it will be a shame not to get your legitimate tasks due to a blunt calculated error.
As for the useful formulas, in fact, there are not so many of them: the mass of a substance, the mass fraction, the yield and density of a product, the quantity and volume of a substance. If you memorize them, any other essentials you can derive from them are elementary, and this, by the way, is worth learning, so as not to bother with extra information.
