Changes in the exam-2019 history
Recall that in 2018, 24% of applicants registered for the history - a fairly high result, according to statistics, in general - the fourth from the beginning in the list of the most popular items.
And one of the main sensations with regard to the USE of recent years has become, as we know, the promise to make history mandatory. And, although the former Minister of Education, Ms. Vasilyeva, promised that this would not happen before 2020, there is every reason to assume that already in 2019, if not all schools in the country, then at least part of within the pilot run-in, they will launch in this orbit. Still, the leadership of the department has changed, the political course is being tightened, so there is no reason to believe that something will prompt the authorities not to do it.
Of course, one can argue that everyone should know the history of his people. But, first of all, there is an opinion that the level of a modern profile test in this discipline is absolutely not the same amount of information that an average citizen should possess, who has never come across this area professionally.
And, secondly, modern schoolchildren, and so, obviously have enough workload of training in their native language and mathematics, especially since the entire set of “profiles”, and so and so, will have to be handed over in order to give them another headache. Especially, taking into account that from 2022 we were precisely promised that a foreign language would also become mandatory. Well, this is just good - it is useful for all graduates to live; in any case, it would be better to introduce it early, and not history. But who will listen to the voice of reason?
However, you can complain and discuss this question as much as you like, but you still have to prepare for the surrender. And if not everyone, without exception, then at least those who need the exam in 2019 in history for admission to the appropriate university.
Well, let's try to assess what awaits them at this exam, how exactly it will be conducted, and also try to bring some useful tips on how best to prepare for it and competently start writing your work.
New in the exam on the history and tradition of the exam
It is logical to assume that even if they introduce the concept of the mandatory history exam for all in 2019-2020, any approbation,which theoretically could fall on the 2019th, will be carried out with the division into the basic and profile levels, as it is happening now with mathematics. At least common sense votes for this. Although, how it will be there - is unknown. As well as the fact that such an empirical basic exam can be imposed.
As for the profile profile of choice, everything is simple with it - there will be no structural changes, according to sources from the Rosobrnadzor. All changes have already been implemented in 2018, and they related directly to the tasks. So in question No. 25 “Historical essay” requirements for implementation were specified, and, accordingly, the criteria for evaluating responses to it were changed. For the rest, they left the usual 25 questions in two parts: the first - for 19 pieces and, the rest, respectively, entered the second.
The tasks of the first block suggest a short answer - a number, a sequence of numbers or a word. In the second, you will have to work on a detailed argument. Plus, of course, the mentioned essay. The maximum number of points for the entire exam is 55, of which 31 are for the part with short answers and 24 for the expanded ones.
All the rules of this exam remain the same - from the time of its holding, which takes no more than 3 hours and 55 minutes, until the ban on the use of everything and everything except the black pen, the materials of the KIM itself, identity documents, as well as drugs and food, they are needed.
As for the specific date, the information for 2019 will become known, of course, later. But it is worth focusing on a long-term tradition of arranging the Unified State Examination from late May to mid-June. For example, this year it was from 05/29/18 to 06/19/18, and the story itself fell on June 19.
What can I expect from CIM history?
To ensure that the correctness of the record of answers does not affect the final result of passing the exam in a negative direction, it is necessary, first of all, to learn how to correctly register your work.
So, in the form, for example, the questions from the first to the nineteenth answers are written in a sequence of numbers (for example, when you need to arrange dates in chronological order, write the correspondence between events and years, write exceptions from sequences of concepts, facts, terms, choose, on the contrary, what is true of several statements, fill in the gaps in theses, writing down their numbers, etc.).
For the second part with detailed answers there is a separate form, where you need to write all your thoughts into their account, in accordance with the requirements of the FIPI. From 20 to 22 questions will have to analyze the historical source, the following two, as well as the essay itself revolve around the application of the analysis of historical phenomena and processes (spatial, temporal, cause-effect research).
It is important to remember that one thing is common to all questions - everything is concentrated around national history, but it must be borne in mind that many specific tasks will necessarily require clarification of knowledge in the context of their intersection with sections of general history. In particular, in the history of Russia, the following periods are taken:
- Ancient times and the Middle Ages, with periodization from the most ancient states of Eastern Slavic tribes to Russia of the 9th century, the 9th and 12th centuries, 12th-middle 15th, second half of the 15th-17th centuries;
- New time (18th - mid 19th century, second half 19th - early 20th century);

The most recent and largest in terms of the answer question is an essay, which is perhaps the most difficult for future historians of all directions, architects, diplomats, philologists and linguists, designers, as well as everyone who is going to connect their future life with music, theater or visual arts dedicated to studied periods. The choice of the three options.
How to prepare well for surrender
It is necessary to come to terms with the factthat the time to prepare for the history will take a lot - this is really an extremely information-rich subject in which a particular importance is attached to the specific memorization of dates, events, personalities, terms, and so on. Moreover, all this must also be able to analyze, evaluate and reasonably draw any conclusions about, draw parallels, etc.
Therefore, it is best to start with the reading of the entire course with the creation of brief notes-excerpts, memorization of chronological tables and basic definitions, biographies of personalities and others. Then, it is desirable to “polish” all this by dragging on answers by solving concrete examples of the Unified State Exam in history, better from 2018. Of course, trying to meet the time in the regulations.
From the side, of course, all this looks too complicated, but if you deliberately chose this exam, it is assumed that you know the school curriculum by heart, have read a lot of these years on the subject and generally have certain talents in this field. For the rest, one should definitely take into account the modern context, through the prism of which the entire history put to the test is also examined.This refers to the increased attention now to the problems of the Great Patriotic War (all in the smallest details associated with this period must be known thoroughly), as well as a concentration on the historical and cultural analysis of everything and everything and relevant ideology.
In a word, the work must be extremely patriotic, you need to be able to work professionally with maps, know all the major dates (there are a lot of tricks with such tasks), be familiar with the biographies of historical personalities and know how to work with historical sources.
Well, summarizing all the above, it is still worth encouraging today's graduates who are sincerely in love with historical science and dream of devoting their whole life to it, or even trying to find themselves in other disciplines with a similar history knowledge in the development of the rest of the examinees.
First of all, in spite of the burden of preparation and the amount of knowledge that is completely childish to be tested, this will be a good memory training for them, development of their intellect and a whole heap of extremely useful skills for further adulthood.
In addition, preparation for this subject, as, indeed, for all other exams, absolutely everyone will teach plodding, attention to detail, as well as excellent time management.
